Rectangular Brass Tray with Folded Rope Edge Detail by Pierre Forsell

1950s, Sweden. Crafted from solid brass with a hand-finished patina, this rectangular tray features a folded rope edge detail. Designed by Pierre Forssell (1925-2004), a Swedish metalsmith known for his modern, masculine, and occasionally brutalist style. Forssell's work, mainly in brass and gold plate, has been showcased in major design museums, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the National Museum in Stockholm.
